Hello stranger. I’m Marta, and Im starting my journey as a 21 year old artist from Spain.

It sounds crazy to me, because a year ago I could have never expected myself to be in this situation. My art was something I rarely posted on social media. It was just a way to open my ribs and let all my feelings spill onto paper, onto a wall, rarely onto a canvas. Sometimes just putting words together while listening to music, since I always loved words as well.
But I never expanded it, never really dug into that energy until the beginning of this year of 2026.

Turning something I’ve always had inside of me, something I’ve always felt the need to express almost as a form of philosophy, into my career feels so pure and enigmatic to me. And that’s why I decided to follow this path and explore this journey as a brand-new artist.

I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, usually with pencils and sometimes adding a little watercolor. I made my first two paintings with better materials about three years ago, using acrylics, and then never really went back to it.

This year I discovered oil painting, and I connected with it almost immediately. I quickly made it my own, and all of my current paintings are made with oils, although I’d love to keep discovering other ways of painting and creating. I believe that every new thing you learn, even in the most subtle way, changes something in your mind and in the way you see things, and can lead you to experiences you might have never had otherwise.

So, well, I guess this space will be dedicated to whatever form of creating happens along the way. And it would be beautiful if, somewhere in that process, it also helped someone appreciate art a little more, feel inspired to create, or feel like showing their own art to the world.
